Karystos, also known as Carystus, is a small coastal town located on the Greek island of Euboea. It currently has a population of approximately 5,000 inhabitants and is situated about 129 km south of Chalkis.

The town is accessible from Athens by ferry via Marmari from the port of Rafina. During the middle of the 19th century, following the Greek War of Independence, its urban plan was designed by the Bavarian civil engineer Bierbach.
