Zacharo

Greece

Zacharo is a town and municipality located in the western Peloponnese region of Greece. It falls under the administrative jurisdiction of the regional unit of Elis in West Greece. The town is situated on the coast of the Gulf of Kyparissia, which is part of the Ionian Sea.

The geography surrounding Zacharo includes the mountain Lapithas to the north and Mount Minthi to the east. Located northwest of the town between Mount Lapithas and the sea is Kaiafas Lake. The area is connected by Greek National Road 9/E55, a major route linking Patras with Kalamata.

Zacharo's location places it approximately 18 km south of Olympia, 28 km southeast of Pyrgos, and roughly 65 km from both Kalamata to the northwest and Tripoli to the west.
