Vonitsa

Vonitsa is a town located in the northwestern part of Aetolia-Acarnania, Greece. It serves as the seat of the municipality of Aktio-Vonitsa and is situated on the south coast of the Ambracian Gulf.

The coastal beach town is characterized by a Venetian fortress that dominates a nearby hill. Geographically, it is positioned 13 kilometres southeast of Preveza, 18 kilometres northeast of the city of Lefkada, and 90 kilometres northwest of Agrinio. The Greek National Road 42 passes through the area.
