Aigio is a town located in the region of Achaea in West Greece, situated on the Peloponnese peninsula. It serves as a significant local center within its geographic area.
Following the 2011 local government reform, Aigio became part of the municipality of Aigialeia. Within this administrative structure, it functions as both a municipal unit and the seat of the municipality.
