Lefkada, also known as Lefkas, Leukas, or Leucadia, is a Greek island located in the Ionian Sea off the west coast of Greece. It serves as the seat of its own municipality and is part of the regional unit of Lefkada.
The island is connected to the Greek mainland by a long causeway and a floating bridge. The principal town of Lefkada is situated in the northern part of the island, located approximately 25 minutes by automobile from Aktion National Airport.
