Preveza is a city located in the region of Epirus in northwestern Greece. It sits on the northern peninsula at the mouth of the Ambracian Gulf and serves as the capital of the regional unit of Preveza, which encompasses the southern portion of the Epirus region.
The city is notable for its connection to Aktio in Central Greece via the Aktio-Preveza Immersed Tunnel, which is the only undersea tunnel in the country. Additionally, the ruins of the ancient city of Nicopolis are situated approximately 7 kilometres north of Preveza.
