Konitsa

Konitsa is a town located in the Epirus region of Greece, situated within the regional unit of Ioannina. It is positioned to the north of the capital city, Ioannina, and lies near the Albanian border.

The town is located northeast of a group of villages known as the Zagorochoria. It is characterized by its amphitheatrical layout, built onto a mountain slope within the Pindos mountain range. From this location, the town overlooks the valley where the Aoos and Voidomatis rivers meet.
