Makrychori is a former municipality located in the Larissa regional unit of Thessaly, Greece. Following the local government reform of 2011, it became a municipal unit within the larger municipality of Tempi. The current municipal unit covers an area of 107.767 km².
The municipality was originally established in 1997 under the Kapodistrias Law. It was formed by the объединение of the former communes of Elateia, Evangelismos, Gyrtoni, and Parapotamos.
