Almyros, also known as Halmyros, is a town and municipality located in the regional unit of Magnesia within the Thessaly region of Greece. It is situated in the center of the Krokio Pedio, a prosperous fertile plain characterized by various torrents.
The town serves as an important agricultural and commercial hub for the Magnesia region. Its primary agricultural outputs include tomatoes, cotton, wheat, almonds, peanuts, and pistachio nuts. In addition to its industrial and farming significance, Almyros is currently developing as a tourist center for the surrounding area.
