Didymoteicho

Didymoteicho is a town situated in northeastern Greece on the eastern edge of the Evros regional unit within the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. It serves as the administrative seat of the municipality of Didymóteicho, which covers a land area of 565.4 km² and has a population of 16,060 inhabitants.

The town is located on a plain in close proximity to several international borders and regional landmarks. It sits approximately 20 km north of Soufli and 90 km north of Alexandroupoli. Geographically, it is positioned southeast of Svilengrad, south of Edirne in Turkey, and west of Uzunköprü in Turkey.
