Sainte-Claire is a municipality located in the Bellechasse Regional County Municipality within the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec, Canada. Situated on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River southeast of Quebec City, it lies along Route 277 and had a population of 3,526 as of the 2021 Canadian census.
The municipality's origins date back to the parish of Sainte-Claire, which was established in 1824 on land originally granted to Louis Jolliet. The current form of the municipality was created in 1977 through a merger between Sainte-Claire and Louis-Jolliet. Today, it serves as one of the principal industrial centers in Bellechasse and is notably the headquarters for the motorcoach manufacturer Prévost.
