Richemont refers to a city located in Guadeloupe. However, it is also the name of a prominent Switzerland-based luxury goods holding company founded in 1988 by South African businessman Johann Rupert.
The corporation produces and sells a wide range of high-end products through various subsidiaries, including jewelry, watches, leather goods, pens, firearms, clothing, and accessories. Richemont is publicly traded on both the SIX Swiss Exchange and the JSE under the ticker symbol CFR.
