Nabou is a science fiction novel written by the German author Günther Krupkat in 1968. It serves as a sequel to his previous work, Als die Götter starben, which was published in 1963.
The narrative follows an expedition into the interior of the Earth conducted by a research team investigating the planet's crust. During this journey, it is revealed that one member of the team is actually a biorobot, known as a "Biomat," which was left behind by an advanced spacefaring civilization called the Mejuans. The interaction between the humans and the alien representative serves as a comparative class encounter between advanced socialist aliens and human societies currently in a lower stage of development without open class conflict.
The novel has maintained historical significance within German literature; a 1989 survey ranked it as the 13th most popular science fiction novel in East Germany.
