Touba

Touba is a city located in central Senegal within the Diourbel Region and Mbacké district. It serves as the second most populated city in Senegal, following Dakar, with a population of 1,120,824 recorded in 2023.

The city is recognized as the holy city of Mouridism and houses the tomb of its founder, Shaikh Ahmadou Bàmba Mbàcke. Situated next to the tomb is a large mosque that was completed in 1963.
