Farafenni, also known as Farafegni, Chakubanta, or Faracity, is a town located in the North Bank Division of The Gambia. It is situated along the Trans-Gambia Highway, positioned just south of the border with Senegal.
The town serves as an important market center within the region. Its geographic location on a major highway facilitates its role as a key point of commerce and transit in northern Gambia.
