Basse Santa Su, commonly referred to as Basse, is a town located in the country of Gambia. It is situated on the south bank of the River Gambia and serves as the easternmost major town within the nation.

The town functions as the capital of the Upper River Division, which is coterminous with the Basse Local Government Area. Basse is notably recognized for its important market. As of 2009, the town had an estimated population of 18,414, while the broader Basse Local Government Area recorded a population of 243,791 according to the 2013 census.
