Mansa Konko

Gambia

Mansa Konko, also known as Mansakonko, is a town located in the Gambia. Situated to the north of Soma, the settlement derives its name from the Mandinka language, where it translates to "the hill of kings."

Historically, the area served as the home of an important chief and later functioned as an administrative center under British rule. Some buildings from the colonial period still survive in the town today.
