Ilulissat, also known as Jakobshavn or Jacobshavn, is the municipal seat and largest town of the Avannaata municipality in western Greenland. Situated approximately 350 km (220 mi) north of the Arctic Circle, it serves as a significant settlement in the region's northern reaches.

As of 2025, Ilulissat has a population of 5,149, making it the third-largest city in Greenland following Nuuk and Sisimiut. The town is notable for its high concentration of sled dogs, which are nearly as numerous as the human population.
