Zika is a city located in Ghana. However, it is important to distinguish the geographical location from Zika fever, which is an infectious disease caused by the Zika virus.
Zika fever typically presents with mild symptoms such as fever, red eyes, joint pain, headache, and a maculopapular rash, though many cases are asymptomatic. While there have been no reported deaths from initial infections, the virus can cause serious complications.
