Sekondi-Takoradi is a city located in the Western Region of Ghana. It comprises the twin cities of Sekondi and Takoradi and serves as the capital of both the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan District and the Western Region.
The city is the largest urban center in the region, functioning as a primary industrial and commercial hub. According to the 2021 census, the population of Sekondi-Takoradi is 245,382 people. The metropolitan area is currently led by Mayor Frederick F. Faidoo, while Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah serves as the member of parliament for Takoradi and Armah Blay Nyameke represents Sekondi.
