Hohoe

Hohoe is a town and the district capital of the Hohoe Municipality, situated in the Volta Region of Ghana. Geographically, it is located approximately 78 km (48 mi) from the regional capital of Ho and about 220 km (140 mi) from Accra, which serves as the national capital.

According to the 2010 Population and Housing Census, the population of the Hohoe Municipality is 167,016. This figure represents 7.9 percent of the total population within the Volta Region. The demographic breakdown of the municipality shows that females make up 52.1 percent of the population, while males account for 47.9 percent.
