Yendi is a city located in the Northern Region of Ghana. It serves as the administrative center for the Yendi Municipal District and holds significant historical importance as the traditional capital of the Kingdom of Dagbon.
The city is notably recognized as the seat of the King of Dagbon, which is considered Ghana's oldest kingdom. As of 2021, the population of Yendi was recorded at 154,421 people, consisting of 76,142 males and 78,279 females.
