Rustavi is a city located in the southeast of Georgia within the Kvemo Kartli region. It is situated approximately 20 km (12 mi) south of the national capital, Tbilisi.
With a population of 127,154, Rustavi ranks as the third most populous city in Georgia. The local economy is primarily dominated by the operations of the Rustavi Metallurgical Plant.
