Rhuddlan is a town and community located in Denbighshire, Wales, within the United Kingdom. The settlement's urban zone is situated primarily on the right bank of the River Clwyd, positioned directly south of the seafront town of Rhyl.
Historically, Rhuddlan was part of Flintshire. From 1974 to 1996, it served as the namesake for the Welsh district of Rhuddlan. According to census data, the population was 4,296 in 2001 and decreased to 3,709 by 2011.
