Maesteg is a town and community located in the Bridgend County Borough of Wales, United Kingdom. It is situated at the northernmost end of the Llynfi Valley, positioned near the border with Neath Port Talbot.
The name Maesteg translates from Welsh to "fair field." As of 2011, the town had a recorded population of 20,612 residents.
