Llanfechain is a village and community located in Powys, Wales. It is situated on the B4393 road between the locations of Llanfyllin and Llansantffraid-ym-Mechain. Historically, the area was part of Montgomeryshire.
The River Cain runs through the village. According to census data, the population was 465 in 2011 and was estimated at 476 in 2019.
