Gorseinon is a town located in the City and County of Swansea, Wales. It is situated near the Loughor estuary, approximately 6 miles (10 km) northwest of Swansea City Centre.
Originally a small village, Gorseinon experienced significant growth during the late 19th century driven by the development of coal mining and tinplate industries. Today, it functions as a local government community with its own elected town council.
