Deeside is a predominantly industrial conurbation located on the border between Wales and England. It is situated near the canalised stretch of the River Dee, which flows from Chester into the Dee Estuary. The area encompasses various towns and villages across the counties of Flintshire and Cheshire.
The region includes several communities such as Connah's Quay, Shotton, Queensferry, Aston, Garden City, Sealand, Broughton, Bretton, Hawarden, Ewloe, Mancot, Pentre, Saltney, and Sandycroft. The total population of Deeside is approximately 50,000 people, with the largest plurality of residents living in Connah's Quay.
