Bishton, also known as Bishopston, is a small rural community located in the eastern part of Newport, South Wales, within the United Kingdom. It is situated in the Llanwern electoral district and encompasses several distinct areas, including Bishton itself, the Underwood estate, and the eastern end of the Llanwern steelworks.
The area has experienced a slight population decline in recent years. According to census data, the population was 2,181 in 2001 and decreased to 2,137 by 2011.
