Newtown St Boswells is a village located in the Scottish Borders council area in south-east Scotland. Situated approximately 40 miles (64 km) south-east of Edinburgh, the village lies south of the Eildon Hills along the Sprouston and Newtown burns.
The village serves as the administrative centre of the Scottish Borders and was historically part of the county of Roxburghshire.
