Lochgilphead

Lochgilphead is a town and former burgh located in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It serves as the administrative centre for the Argyll and Bute Council and has a population of approximately 2,300 people.

The town is situated at the end of Loch Gilp and sits on the banks of the Crinan Canal. It is positioned along the A83 road, with Ardrishaig located 2 miles to the south and Inveraray situated 24 miles to the north-east. Additionally, the town lies approximately 37 miles south of Oban via the A816.
