Barrhead is a town located in East Renfrewshire, Scotland. It is situated approximately thirteen kilometres (8 miles) southwest of Glasgow city centre and lies on the edge of the Gleniffer Braes.
According to the 2011 census, the population of Barrhead was 17,268. The town serves as a residential area within the Greater Glasgow region.
