Portadown is a town located in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. It sits on the River Bann in the northern part of the county, situated approximately 24 miles (39 km) southwest of Belfast.
The town falls within the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area. According to the 2021 Census, Portadown had a population of about 22,000. For certain purposes, it is categorized as part of the "Craigavon Urban Area" together with the towns of Craigavon and Lurgan.
