Winsford is a town and civil parish located in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester within the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It is situated on the River Weaver, positioned south of Northwich and west of Middlewich.
The settlement developed primarily around the salt mining industry following the canalisation of the river during the 18th century. This infrastructure allowed for the transport of freight northward to the Port of Runcorn on the River Mersey. According to the 2021 census, the parish had a population of 33,547, with a built-up area population of 32,530.
