Wimpole is a small village and civil parish located in South Cambridgeshire, England. It is situated approximately 8.5 miles (13.7 km) southwest of the city of Cambridge.
The settlement's naming history was simplified on April 1, 1999, following a local referendum and a change in parish boundaries. Prior to this date, the main settlement along the A603 was officially designated as New Wimpole and Orwell, Cambridge Road.
