Wimborne Minster is a market town located in Dorset in South West England. It is situated at the confluence of the River Stour and the River Allen on the Dorset Heaths, approximately 5 miles (8 km) north of Poole. The town forms part of the South East Dorset conurbation.
The name Wimborne Minster also refers to a Church of England church located within the town. As of 2014, the population of the Wimborne Minster built-up area was recorded by the Office for National Statistics as 15,552.
