Wickford is a town and civil parish situated in the Borough of Basildon within the county of Essex, England. It is located approximately 30 miles (48 km) east of London and about 4 miles (6 km) north-east of Basildon.
According to the 2021 census, the parish had a population of 27,601. The built-up area of the town, as defined by the Office for National Statistics, consists of 27,535 residents.
