Weybridge is a town located in the Borough of Elmbridge in Surrey, England. It is situated approximately 17 miles (27 km) south-west of central London. The settlement's name originates from a crossing point of the River Wey, which flows into the River Thames to the north of the town centre.
Historical records indicate that human activity in the area dates back to the Bronze Age. During the Anglo-Saxon and medieval periods, the town was held by Chertsey Abbey. As of 2011, Weybridge had a recorded population of 15,449 residents.
