Welling is a town located in South East London, England, within the London Borough of Bexley. Geographically, it is situated approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) west of Bexleyheath and 4 miles (6.4 km) southeast of Woolwich. It lies roughly 10.5 miles (16.9 km) from Charing Cross.
Historically, the area was part of the county of Kent before the establishment of Greater London in 1965.
