Walton-on-Thames, known locally as Walton, is a market town situated on the south bank of the River Thames in northwest Surrey, England. Located within the Borough of Elmbridge, it sits approximately 15 miles (24 km) southwest of central London and forms part of the Greater London Built-up Area.
The town features a mix of suburban streets and a historic town centre of Celtic origin. According to the 2011 Census, Walton-on-Thames has a total population of 22,834. It is one of the largest towns in the Elmbridge borough, alongside Weybridge, and is served by a wide range of transport links.
