Urmston is a town located in the metropolitan borough of Trafford within Greater Manchester, England. It covers an area of 4,799 acres and had a recorded population of 41,731 during the 2021 Census. Historically, the town was part of Lancashire.

The town is situated approximately 5 miles southwest of Manchester city centre. Its southern boundary is defined by the River Mersey, with the neighboring areas of Stretford to the east and Flixton to the west. Davyhulme is located to the north of Urmston's town centre.
