Tynemouth

Tynemouth is a coastal town situated in the metropolitan borough of North Tyneside within Tyne and Wear, England. Located on the north side of the mouth of the River Tyne, it sits approximately eight miles east-northeast of Newcastle upon Tyne. Historically, the area was recognized as the easternmost town in Northumberland.

The town center is positioned immediately west of a prominent headland that overlooks both the North Sea and the river's mouth. This headland is home to the medieval Tynemouth Priory and Castle, which serve as notable historical landmarks for the area.
