Torquay is a seaside town located in Devon, England. It serves as part of the unitary authority area known as Torbay and is situated on the north side of Tor Bay. The town is positioned approximately 18 miles south of Exeter and 28 miles east-north-east of Plymouth.

Geographically, Torquay adjoins the town of Paignton to the west and sits across from the fishing port of Brixham. As of 2011, the built-up area of the town had a recorded population of 65,245 residents.
