Tiptree is a large village and civil parish located in the City of Colchester district of Essex, England. It is situated approximately 10 miles (16 km) south-west of Colchester and about 50 miles (80 km) north-east of London.
The parish is surrounded by several neighboring villages, including Messing, Tolleshunt Knights, Tolleshunt Major, Layer Marney, Inworth, Birch, Great Braxted, Great Totham, and Little Totham. According to the 2021 census, the village had a total population of 9,628, with 9,300 residents living within the built-up area.
