Surlingham is a village and civil parish located in the South Norfolk district of Norfolk, situated on the Broads in eastern United Kingdom. It is positioned approximately 6½ miles south-east of Norwich on the south bank of the River Yare, specifically between Bramerton and Rockland St Mary.
The village's administrative status is unique; while it is part of the South Norfolk District, areas adjacent to the river and broads fall under the executive area of the Broads Authority. According to census data, the population grew from 637 in 2001 to 725 in 2011, with a total of 266 households recorded in 2001.
