Stevenage is a town and borough located in Hertfordshire, England. It is situated approximately 28 miles (45 km) north of London, positioned between Letchworth Garden City to the north and Welwyn Garden City to the south. The town lies east of junctions 7 and 8 of the A1(M).
The area gained historical significance in 1946 when it was designated as the United Kingdom's first New Town under the New Towns Act. As of 2021, Stevenage had a population of 94,456.
