Sleaford is a market town and civil parish located in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. Situated on the edge of the Fenlands, it is positioned approximately 11 miles north-east of Grantham, 16 miles west of Boston, and 17 miles south of Lincoln. It serves as the largest settlement within the North Kesteven district, with a recorded population of 19,807 in 2021.
The modern urban area of Sleaford is centered on the former parish of New Sleaford and incorporates the areas of Quarrington to the south-west, Holdingham to the north-west, and Old Sleaford to the east. The town is bypassed by the A17 and A15 roads, while Sleaford railway station provides access to the Nottingham to Skegness and Peterborough to Lincoln lines.
