Skegness is a seaside town and civil parish located in the East Lindsey District of Lincolnshire, England. Situated on the Lincolnshire coast along the North Sea, it is positioned approximately 47 miles east of Lincoln and 25 miles north-east of Boston. As of 2021, the town has a population of 21,128, making it the largest settlement within the East Lindsey District.
The town incorporates the areas of Winthorpe and Seacroft and forms part of a larger built-up area that includes the resorts of Ingoldmells and Chapel St Leonards to the north. It serves as a transport hub connected by the A52 and A158 roads, which link the town to Boston and the East Midlands and Lincoln, respectively. Additionally, Skegness railway station provides access via the Nottingham to Skegness line.
