Shinfield is a village and civil parish located in the Borough of Wokingham, Berkshire, England. It covers an area of approximately 4,313 acres (17.45 km2) and is situated just south of Reading, roughly 3 miles (4.8 km) from the town centre.
The northern portion of the parish is known as Shinfield Park. This area became physically separated from Reading following the construction of the M4 motorway in 1971.
