Seaham

Seaham is a seaside town located on the Durham Coast in County Durham, England. It is situated approximately 6 miles south of Sunderland and 13 miles east of Durham.

The town developed significantly from the late 19th century onward, driven by investments in local coal mines and its harbour. Seaham currently maintains a twinning agreement with the German town of Gerlingen.
